Kaiser Permanente participates in Maryland Medicaid as one of nine HealthChoice managed care organizations, alongside its well-known commercial and DC-suburb presence. For Medicaid members specifically, ABA therapy is completely carved out of Kaiser and every other HealthChoice MCO. Your ABA authorization and billing run through Carelon Behavioral Health, regardless of which MCO you're enrolled in.
