Behavioral assessment authorization is typically requested in 3-month increments, while ongoing treatment authorization is typically requested in 6-month increments.
Georgia Medicaid covers ABA for Autistic Disorder, Rett's Syndrome, Asperger's Syndrome, and related pervasive developmental disorders, each requiring a DSM-5 diagnosis with a specific severity level.
If you have other insurance, that plan is billed first, and Georgia Medicaid covers what's left.
